Flickr Friday

A tribute to one of my favorite places on the planet... Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. I snicker at the thought that my family can no longer hop in the car on a whim and head a couple hours south for a day of thrills and chills. Ha, ha, ha.

I've never been to Cedar Point! Hopefully in the next couple years, when the girls are a bit older! Woot!

I've been to Cedar Point several times as a kid. I'd probably puke now if I got on any of rides.

wow - that's a neat layout! I never thought of using purely pictures in one of those pixel templates!

HEY! I don't think that's very nice. You know how painful it is to be stuck out here with a crappy minature SixFlags!

Please remove the photo Raptor (#5) in your image in this post. That photo is mine and is being used without permission. It is clearly marked at Copywrite on Flickr and digitally in the file you downloaded and rehosted on Imageshack.

FYI - I have also contact Imageshack as rehosting of copyright images is violation of their TOS.

I see you chose two of my photos in this. I'm glad you enjoyed my two photos (Magnum and Maverick) and glad you posted credit to my flickr account. Thanks for looking :D

You keep rehosting and I'll keep contacting Imageshack - next step is to contact Blogger.

I make money selling photos - you're stealing from me.

I don't see whats the big problem... I am glad to see someone enjoy my photos enough to use it in a feature. Its not about the money at all, its about the exposure. Plus she did site where she found the photos.

For you it's not about money. I'm trying to make a business out of my photography so it is for me. Big deal - she sited, she never asked for permission to start with and really she didn't site - the tool she created this with sites automatically.

If I were to steal her blog designs or whatever she is selling she'd be all over me asking me to pay for it.

She had no intention of hurting you, and you are here threatening to bring her little place on the internet down to the ground. It's a measly square inch picture... what is she going to do, make millions off it? The way I see it, she is giving me more exposure, you cant make money without exposure. So if you would like to keep you photos to yourself and kill you exposure, than I guess thats fine. Ill admit that I looked through you photos, only because she had one of yours in that little photo.

Copyright law only really matters if someone is trying to take position of something that isn't hers, which she clearly isn't set out to do. Not only that, she isn't making a dime off it, so there is nothing wrong with this as far as the copyright law side of things.

Whoa, all I can say is I am always notified of comments left on my blog and I never knew of any of these.

To Paul: Never my intent to violate any copyright. I am merely doing what hundreds of Flickr users all over the net are doing... posting my favorite photos. Your pictures are beautiful and I don't see how people viewing them on my blog is any different the viewing them on Flickr. Not to mention that I probably have about 10 people viewing my blog on a regular basis as compared with the thousands that view Flickr. Having said that, I have no problem taking this image out. I re-hosted that image because I scrolled down my blog and noticed it was missing. I did not see the comments. I hope your photo was enjoyed by others and that they enjoyed the rest of your Flickr images as well.

bgroodog, thank you for the kind comments. Your photos were a lovely addition to my humble photo mosaic. As a fellow Cedar Point fan, I salute you.
