Been soooo busy and happy doing the Mom Thing the last month. So much going on now that the year is winding up. Since Eden's birthday is in July we had a chance to do a birthday celebration for her at school now. She and her cousin, Judah, shared a preschool party... so Judah's mommy made the birthday snacks for the boys, and we did the girls. I wanted to do something girly and easy to clean up. I ended up making a mousse out of a package of pudding and 1 cup of milk, whipped it up and then added about 1/2 a container of Cool Whip. I cut some pound cake into little squares and layered it up: cake, raspberry jam, mousse, jam, cake, mousse, extra Cool Whip, candy sprinkles. They were a hit and tasted SO good. I will find an excuse to make these again.
Same week I had a Mother's Day Celebration at Johnny's school. Oh man, it was so sweet! The first thing we saw when we walked in was the sidewalk that the kids had decorated with chalk sayings. They had tables set up for us and gave presentations about moms. All kinds of sweet, pass-me-the-tissues kind of stuff.
Oh, and if my face is looking different that's because I'VE LOST 20 POUNDS BABY! (ok, so technically 19.5, but I'm ready to claim 20 at this point. Half-way to my goal! Do I detect a hint of cheekbones?)
