Terrible photo, wonderful girl

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I snapped this photo right before the batteries in my camera died last week. I had been working on a scrapbook layout at my desk and Eden was watching the rain come down from the window next to me. I suggested that she go sit on the front porch to watch the rain. One of the more enjoyable things to do, I thought she'd appreciate it. I spent about 10 minutes finishing up my project then went to check on her.

She was good. She was still on the porch. But she was SOAKED from head to toe. I think she had been leaning as far out as she could to catch rain droplets in her mouth. Her hair was big, wet, wormy strands and her shirt & pants were soggy. This is the same child that wears a bath hat in the tub.

I felt my grin in my heart, I tell ya. Told her she could go off the porch and then I sat there and watched her playing in the rain. Jumping and giggling and riding her bike up and down the sidewalk. Everyone who drove by smiled or looked a little puzzled.

It was PRECIOUS.

I LOVE when it's warm enough to let the girls play in the rain. Great mommy moments I tell ya!

Precious is RIGHT! How cute! Those are the moments I live for, like dressing my daughter to play in puddles, Man, the grin on her face is simply worth the extra clothes to launder! You have a very precious girl there! absolutly! And I sitll love that pic :D
